How to Weep in Public, a Review

I thought that this would be helpful when dealing with my depression so I jumped at the chance to have this book. Instead, it sat unread on my shelf for weeks. I’d read the introduction and it was hilarious. But, it was also kind of bitter.

Recently, I tried to pick it back up. I wanted to see if it had anything to offer while I’ve been feeling down. But, honestly, I couldn’t relate to her. Her anxiety and depression was overwhelming and bitter. Humor does come out of bad situations, but daaaaamn girl.

She talks about being too depressed to move and rearrange her tampon. There is no way in hell that I would have dealt with that kind of shit. This book is funny, but it’s not for me right now.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.
